Do you know what a CPAP device? Better still, you know what is CPAP? For starters, it stands for Continuous Positive Airway Pressure CPAP. Yes, there are a lot of techniques out there, but the crux of this jargon is that this kind of pressure is generated, which can cause a person can not do alone. In other words, CPAP uses a kind of pressure that a person with difficulty breathing, especially for those who suffer from sleep apnea, should help.

Oops, this isAnother term medical and technical! Again, in simple terms, sleep apnea is a sleep disorder characterized by interruptions in breathing. This condition occurs when the person, the air passage is blocked (usually by the tissues of the throat).

The CPAP device was developed by Dr. Colin Sullivan in 1981. These Australian researchers, along with his colleagues, Berthon-Jones, Issa and Eves "invented", this mechanism is primarily for the treatment of sleep apnea. The first CPAP machines were large andbulky, but today they are more compact, so that they can carry. While the early CPAP machines only in hospitals, are used today are much more comfortable than in patients' homes. You can also rent a CPAP - in Toronto and elsewhere - today.

What has the appearance of a CPAP device? What are its components?

The CPAP device is divided into three main parts. Let us discuss them one by one.

1 The flow generator. This is the heart of the machine. It 's theParty responsible for the supply pressure of the air flow.

Pants 2. Obviously, this is partly responsible for the connection of the interface (see below) with the generator.

The interface 3. This is the part you are on your face and that the introduction of air flow pressure in the system to make possible. The interfaces are the most common nasal CPAP masks, nasal pillows and full face masks.

Nasal CPAP masks are perhaps the easiest of the three interfacesConsidering that it refers only to the nose. In essence, the pressure passes through the nose, then on the neck, and lungs. Of the three, perhaps the most comfortable CPAP nasal masks.

In contrast to nasal CPAP masks masks cover the entire face. If you are a bit 'claustrophobic, you can not use this interface. However, the masks are designed to prevent breathing through the mouth large. Patients with sleep apnea must breathe through the nose to maintain a"Close-pressure system."

In addition to CPAP nasal masks and full face masks have nose pads. Nasal CPAP pillows - in Toronto or elsewhere - are also known as a spokesman for the sealing lip. This interface consists of a "cushion" (a tube) and a series of straps that hold it in place (right under the nose) were prepared.

The respiratory therapy device, the tube and the interface are the three main components of the CPAP device. But there are a number of accessories and special equipment available on the markettoday. All of them should give comfort to the patient in an unpleasant state - are all meant to sleep better.
